Veteran television host Joey De Leon addressed ongoing speculations surrounding a supposed feud between long-running noontime shows "Eat Bulaga" and "It's Showtime."

De Leon aimed to clear the air, emphasizing that there is no animosity between the two programs.

De Leon stressed, "First and foremost, we are not enemies with 'It's Showtime.' 'Showtime' has been our neighbor for a long time. They don't attack us, and we don't attack them."

He further explained that their previous expressions of frustration were directed towards individuals on social media rather than the rival show itself.

Refuting claims of hostility, De Leon expressed fondness for "It's Showtime," stating, "We love Showtime because they're our contemporaries. There are only two of us left. Don't pit us against each other. We are friends."

The television icon clarified that his grievances were directed at certain social media users who spread falsehoods and negativity. He emphasized, "We are not against 'Showtime.' We are just working, that's all."

De Leon concluded by reiterating that the real target of their frustration is those who spread lies on social media platforms. He affirmed mutual respect and camaraderie between the two shows, highlighting their longstanding coexistence in the industry.
