Three Filipino Workers Die In UAE-Oman Floods

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirms the loss of three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) due to the recent flooding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The tragic incident occurred during the height of the flood crisis, claiming the lives of two females and one male.

According to the DMW report, the two female OFWs met a tragic end due to suffocation inside their vehicle as floodwaters engulfed them. The third victim, a male OFW, succumbed to severe injuries sustained in a vehicular accident when his vehicle plunged into a sinkhole amid the flooding.

Expressing profound sorrow, DMW Officer-in-Charge, Hans Leo J. Cacdac, along with the entire DMW community, extends heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and relatives of the deceased OFWs.

Assuring unwavering support, the department pledges its fullest assistance to the grieving families. Collaborating closely with Migrant Workers Offices and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, DMW is committed to providing comprehensive aid to the affected families during this difficult time.
