Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took to Facebook to provide an update on the devastating wildfires burning across Alberta and the federal government's efforts to provide assistance. In his post, he announced that the federal government had approved the province's request for assistance and deployed Canadian Armed Forces members to help fight the fires and evacuate isolated communities.

During his visit to Alberta, Trudeau met with those on the ground and thanked them for the hard work they were doing to combat the fires. He also had a message for the more than 19,000 people who had been forced to evacuate their homes due to the wildfires, assuring them that the government was there to provide support.

Trudeau also called on Canadians across the country to help in the relief efforts by donating to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal. Both the federal and provincial governments are matching donations to the fund, which will go towards immediate and ongoing relief and recovery efforts.

The wildfires in Alberta have caused widespread destruction and forced thousands of people to leave their homes. The Canadian government's response, including the deployment of armed forces members and the matching of donations, has been widely praised as an example of effective disaster relief efforts.

Trudeau's Facebook post has been shared widely across social media, with many Canadians expressing their gratitude for the government's assistance and their support for those affected by the wildfires. The Prime Minister's message of solidarity and support in the face of this crisis has resonated with many Canadians, and the relief efforts are expected to continue for some time as the affected communities begin the process of recovery and rebuilding.
