The Bureau of Corrections has released 416 individuals from prison as part of their ongoing efforts to improve the country's prison system. These individuals were given a second chance to start anew with the help and support of the government and other agencies.

According to Acting Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr, Public Attorney’s Office Chief Persida Acosta, and Assistant Secretary Francis John Tejano, the releases were made possible through the collective effort of various government agencies. These agencies have been working tirelessly to improve the prison system and provide better opportunities for PDLs.
