Patrick Guzman, widely known in the 1990s for his appearances in numerous Filipino films, has passed away. The news of his sudden demise has left fans and colleagues in deep sorrow and disbelief.

The news broke when an Instagram post from Ogie Alcasid’s account was discovered to have been deleted shortly after being shared. The now-deleted post featured a nostalgic photograph of the actor alongside fellow actors Pat Guzman, Michael Vito, and Anjo Llana during a photo shoot for their blockbuster hit "Mama's Boys 2."

The heartfelt caption read, "Here you are Pat Guzman with @michaelbitoy and @anjoyllana in our younger years doing our photo shoot for our blockbuster hit, 'Mama's Boys 2.' So shocked and sad that you have gone to heaven so suddenly. Rest now, brother. I will always remember the wonderful times we had while filming so many movies together. Be with Jesus."

Soon after, two Facebook posts surfaced, further highlighting Guzman's impact on the entertainment industry. Director Beverly Vergel shared a photo taken at Guzman's place while scouting locations for the film "BROmance The Movie," which she wrote and directed. Vergel expressed her excitement at having Guzman as the lead actor, praising his trust and willingness to accept the role without even reading the script.

Vergel's Facebook post stated, "I was excited to have you as the lead actor. You said yes without seeing the script! Thank you for your trust, Patrick. Although you expressed reluctance because you haven't acted onscreen for a long time, it was a full-length comedy film. I assured you that there's nothing to worry about because I'll run a workshop to prep everyone, and you gamely agreed."
Vergel fondly recalled the comedy workshop, where Guzman's infectious laughter filled the room, making the entire day an unforgettable experience. She concluded her heartfelt message with condolences to Guzman's wife, Liezle, their son, and all the loved ones he left behind.

Another Facebook post, from Teresa Maria Dulce, showcased the personal bond she shared with the late actor. Dulce expressed her shock and grief, reminiscing about the time they planned to meet in Canada and Guzman's thoughtful gesture of buying and bringing her a MAC makeup set to the Philippines to ease her burden during her early pregnancy.

Dulce wrote, "I know we didn't get a picture together in Vancouver, everybody was busy for the Randy Ortiz fashion show that you produced in 1997. I remember only good and nice things about you... you're so kind, so sweet and soft-spoken, the perfect gentleman."

She continued by sharing old photos of Guzman hosting the Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Paris, recalling their train ride to Lourdes with Ambassador Romeo Manalo, manager Angie Magbanua, Chiqui Pineda, and GEC production manager Mariza Odullo. Dulce expressed her deep gratitude for Guzman's presence in her life and her hopes of meeting him again in eternity.

As the news of Patrick Guzman's untimely passing spreads, fans, colleagues, and friends continue to flood social media with messages of condolences, sharing cherished memories and expressing their profound loss. Guzman's warm personality, talent, and significant contributions to the entertainment industry will be remembered by many.
