Abu Sayyaf Fugitive Nabbed in Tawi-Tawi After 16 Years

Tatoh Datu Adingih was arrested by the Philippine National Police in Tawi-Tawi last April 26, 2023. Adingih had been on the run for over 16 years and had been using the false name of Tatoh Moro.
He is wanted for murder and was the top 9 most wanted person in Tawi-Tawi. His arrest was made possible through a joint operation by the PNP Special Action Force's 5th Special Action Battalion and other police and military units.
The successful operation was praised by the PNP leadership, with Acting SAF Director Police Brigadier General Rudolph B Dimas commending the troops for their efforts. PNP Chief Police General Benjamin C Acorda Jr. also lauded the operation and reiterated the PNP's commitment to maintaining peace and order in the country.
