Actor And Director Ricky Rivero Passes Away At 51

Friends and colleagues of Actor and Director Ricky Rivero have posted tributes after news of his passing was reportedly announced by Rivero’s husband.

One such individual was former Quezon City Mayor and Actor Herbert "Bistek" Bautista, who took to Facebook to express his heartfelt condolences. He wrote, "Malungkot na araw dahil sa pagpanaw ng isang kaibigan at kasamahan sa pelikula at telebisyon. Paalam, Ricky. Nakikiramay ang aming pamilya sa Salvador at Rivero Families."

Another devastated individual who shared her sorrow was Mell T. Navarro, who updated her Facebook page with a heartfelt message. She accompanied her post with screenshots of the now-deleted updates and a photo of Ricky, captioned, "REST IN PEACE, actor and director Ricky S. Rivero, who was a member of #ThatsEntertainment TV show in the 80s to 90s. His boyfriend announced this sad news this morning (July 16, 2023), using the FB account of Ricky, who passed on today. Panalangin at pakikiramay sa pamilya. It was a pleasure to be your publicist on your last shown independent movie 'D Aswang Slayerz' (2023). No more pain, kapatid. Rest well in God's loving arms."
