Jessy Mendiola cried foul against fake posts that said her baby had a cleft palate/lip. In her post, the actress expressed her frustration over the spread of false information and negativity against her daughter.

"It is NEVER okay to spread fake news. It is NEVER okay to spread negativity about having cleft palate/lip. Let's respect those who really have it," Mendiola wrote on her social media accounts..

The actress also called for action against cyberbullying by sharing links to videos spreading false information about her and requesting her followers to report them as harassment or child abuse. The links, which have since been deleted, were flagged by the actress as spreading false and malicious content.

Those who are found of spreading fake news can be charged with violating Republic Act 10175 or the Anti Cybercrime Law.
