Aftershocks Continue After 6.0 Magnitude Quake in Masbate

Aftershocks were still being felt in the province of Masbate after a 6.0 Magnitude quake on February 16. 19 quakes were recorded for February 17 in the province between 12 am and 2:09 PM.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded significant quakes at Magnitudes 4.3 and 4.6.
Schools at all levels, both public and private, in the province of Masbate were suspended.
This decision was made to ensure the safety of students as inspections of facilities continue.
