Dear Mr. Roque:

We take umbrage at your statement bellitling the contribution of the Lopez group to the efforts to feed and heal our people in this pandemic.

Any amount -- whether Php 1.00 or Php 1,000,000,000,000.00 -- given by the private sector must be given due appreciation and gratitude.

With all due respect ( and believe us, we can muster so little for you now) you in the public sector and government can never take credit for the trillions of pesos you have budgeted and mobilized because that is from us, the TAXPAYERS.

And even if they came from government loans, bonds, or official develooment assistance and grants, they are still the Filipinos' money generated through the goodwill of the people and to be paid back by all of us.

So please, Mr. Roque, spare us from your condescencion. Filipinos deserve better.
