In a historic move, the House of Representatives has voted to expel former Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. from their ranks, citing disorderly behavior and a clear violation of the Code of Conduct that governs the lower house.

The decision comes after a meticulous investigation and deliberation process that culminated in a resounding vote of 265 in favor, 0 against, and 3 abstentions in support of the committee report number 717.

The committee report, which delved into the matter of Representative Arnolfo "Arnie" A. Teves, extensively outlined instances of disruptive conduct and breaches of the established norms of decorum within the legislative body. The findings, which were presented to the house for consideration, documented a series of incidents where Rep. Teves had engaged in actions inconsistent with the honorable responsibilities entrusted to a member of the House of Representatives.
