In a recent development, the Department of Agriculture Senior Undersecretary, Domingo Panganiban, has been appointed as the new Officer-in-Charge of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA). This comes after the former SRA Administrator, David John Thaddeus Alba, resigned from his position on April 15.
Panganiban is a well-known figure in the agriculture industry, having served in various high-level positions within the Department of Agriculture. He is expected to bring his vast knowledge and experience to the SRA, particularly in the field of sugar regulation.
The SRA is a government agency tasked with regulating the sugar industry in the Philippines. It is responsible for implementing policies and programs that ensure the sustainable development of the industry, as well as protecting the interests of sugar farmers and workers.
