BARMM Chief Minister Affirms Commitment To Bangsamoro Autonomy

Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) emphasized his unwavering dedication to the faithful implementation of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB). The chief minister addressed the issue of a "separate, independent Mindanao," reaffirming the Bangsamoro people's right to self-determination.

The Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro serves as the cornerstone for the Bangsamoro Government, recognizing the justness and legitimacy of the Bangsamoro people's cause. Chief Minister Ebrahim stressed the importance of a democratic process in shaping the political future of the region, securing the identity and posterity of the Bangsamoro people while fostering meaningful self-governance.

Acknowledging the progress made in implementing the CAB, Chief Minister Ebrahim expressed gratitude for the significant contributions of past and present Presidents of the Philippines in achieving a peaceful settlement of the Bangsamoro Question. Despite acknowledging that more work lies ahead, he highlighted the strides made by the parties involved in the peace processes, which ultimately benefit the Bangsamoro people.

In his call to action, Chief Minister Ebrahim urged all stakeholders to safeguard the gains achieved through the peace processes. He emphasized the need for continued support for the current administration and encouraged the collective effort of the community to maintain peace and civility in the region.
