The family of basketball legend Samboy Lim announced on Saturday the news of his passing.

The post revealed the departure of Samboy Lim, a man of unwavering faith, exceptional courage, humility, and grace, leaving a void in the hearts of many. The legendary figure, fondly known as "The Skywalker," was 61.
During his final moments at the Medical City, Samboy was surrounded by a circle of love and care, including Lelen, Jamie, Johannes, sister Malou, nephews AP, Alby, and wife Kates. Best friends Allan Caidic and Robert Evangelista stood by him, providing comfort in those poignant moments.
Even from afar, his loved ones abroad, such as sister Ate Coy - Maricor, Dan, niece Danielle, along with Jun Zarate and Coach Larry Albano, bid their final goodbyes through the digital embrace of online chat.
