Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie of the Year Boybits Victoria passed away at the age of 50 due to acute myocardial infarction. Victoria's children, Ciaz and Nathan Victoria, announced his death on their father's Facebook account on March 1.
The post read, "Hello po, this is Boybits’ kids, Ciaz Victoria and Nathan Victoria. It’s with a heavy heart that we announce our dad’s death from acute myocardial infarction and he was pronounced dead at 6:55pm at San Juan De Dios Manila."
Boybits, a product of San Beda from grade school to college, was the third overall pick in the 1994 PBA Draft and was selected by Swift. and went on to win the Rookie of the Year award the same year.
Victoria's viewing will be held at Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium in Sucat from March 2 to March 5. His cremation will take place on March 5 at 11am also at Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium.
