In a statement released from Buckingham Palace, it has been revealed that during a recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate health concern was discovered in King Charles’ medical evaluation - a form of cancer.

“Following comprehensive diagnostic tests, His Majesty has commenced a schedule of regular treatments. In light of medical advice, the King will be postponing public-facing duties temporarily but will continue to fulfill State business and official paperwork during this period,” it said.

It added that “The swift intervention of the medical team, made possible by the recent hospital procedure, has been acknowledged by the King, who expresses gratitude for their efforts. His Majesty remains optimistic about his treatment and eagerly anticipates a return to full public duty at the earliest opportunity.”
