The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported 43 Chinese nationals on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the government's crackdown on illegal activities.

The deported individuals were among the more than 100 foreign nationals arrested by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC).

The arrests were made following the execution of a search warrant issued by the Makati Regional Trial Court, alleging violations of Republic Acts 9208 and 10364, commonly known as the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act, along F.B. Harrison St. in Pasay City. The PAOCC and PNP-WCPC uncovered evidence linking the foreign nationals to an establishment engaged in human trafficking activities.

Upon investigation, the BI determined that these individuals had violated the terms and conditions of their visas, posing a threat to public interest. Consequently, they were deemed undesirable and subject to deportation.

The group boarded a Philippine Airlines flight to Shanghai at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1, under the supervision of BI authorities. Commissioner Norman Tansingco stated that as a consequence of their deportation, the names of the Chinese nationals have been added to the BI's blacklist, effectively barring them from reentering the country in the future.

Commissioner Tansingco emphasized the BI's commitment to collaborating with other government agencies to eliminate undesirable aliens engaged in illegal activities within the country. "We are working closely with other government agencies to rid the country of such undesirable aliens who abuse our hospitality and stay here doing their illegal activities," said Tansingco.

He encouraged concerned citizens to remain vigilant and report any illegal aliens potentially conducting illicit activities in their communities.
