Cabuya, Rodelas Clinch 2 Golds For PH In SEA Games' Obstacle Racing

Filipino athletes Precious Cabuya and Mark Julius Rodelas triumphed over their fellow countrymen, clinching gold medals in the men's and women's individual obstacle course 100-meter race, respectively, at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.

The finals for both individual races were dominated by the Filipino contingent on Saturday, May 6 at the Car Park of the Chroy Changvar Convention Center.

Cabuya completed the course in 32.732 seconds, breaking her own world record and placing her ahead of Kaizen dela Serna.

Dela Serna clocked in at 35.522 seconds and added silver in the Philippine's medal haul.

Meanwhile, Rodelas crossed the finish line of the men's obstacle course with a time of 25.194 seconds.

Fellow Filipino Kevin Pascua followed closely at 26.814 seconds and settled for silver.

The victories bagged by Cabuya and Rodelas marked the third and fourth gold medals won by Team Philippines from the biennial multi-sports competition.

Kaila Napolis in jiu-jitsu and Angel Derla in kun bokator previously clinched the first two gold medals for the country.
