Carlos Edriel Yulo captured another gold medal for Team Philippines in the men's artistic gymnastics individual all-around finals on Monday, May 8, at the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
This marks Yulo's third consecutive individual all-around gold medal in the SEA Games, following his victories in the Philippines in 2019 and in Hanoi last year.
Yulo achieved a total score of 84.000, beating Vietnam's Thanh Tung Le (80.450) and Phuong Thanh Dinh (78.150), who won silver and bronze, respectively.
Earlier in the SEA Games, the Philippine gymnastics team, which includes Yulo, won a silver medal in the men’s artistic gymnastics all-around team event at the SEA Games, with a total score of 305.25. Other members of the team are Jan Gwynn Timbang, Jhon Romeo Santillan, John Ivan Cruz, Juancho Miguel Besana, and Justine Ace De Leon.

Meanwhile, Robin Catalan captured the country's first SEA Games gold medal in Kun Bokator after winning in the men's combat 50 kilogram category.
In another SEA Games event, Fernando Casares defended his title in the men’s individual triathlon event, securing another gold medal for the Philippines. Casares won the same event in the previous SEA Games.
