In a recent decision by the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), motorists traveling along the CAVITEX R1 and R1 Extension will experience adjustments in toll rates, effective Monday, August 21, 2023, at 12:01 AM.

The modifications, which are in accordance with the 2017 toll petition filed by Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) and its joint-venture partner, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), aim to ensure the continued maintenance of a secure and top-tier expressway for commuters.

Under the new tariff scheme, the toll rates for different vehicle classes will be as follows:
CAVITEX R1 (Paranaque Toll Plaza):
• Class 1: Php 35.00
• Class 2: Php 70.00
• Class 3: Php 104.00

CAVITEX R1 Extension (Kawit Toll Plaza):
• Class 1: Php 73.00
• Class 2: Php 146.00
• Class 3: Php 219.00

The increased rates are intended to provide resources for the continuous enhancement of the CAVITEX infrastructure, thereby ensuring a smoother and safer travel experience for all users.
In a bid to ease the transition for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators, CIC and PRA have also announced the revival of the Abante Card program.

This initiative specifically caters to Class 1 and Class 2 PUVs and offers them the opportunity to enjoy the previous toll rates for a span of three months through a comprehensive rebate program.

The Abante Card program allows eligible PUV drivers and operators to avail themselves of the previous toll rates, lessening the immediate impact of the tariff adjustment and providing them with additional time to adjust to the new rates.

This move showcases Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation and the Philippine Reclamation Authority's commitment to the welfare of the commuting public and the pivotal role they play in the region's transportation network.
