CCTV Footage Narrows Suspects To 10 In UP Diliman Sexual Assault Incident
The Quezon City Police Department (QCPD) has identified ten persons of interest in the case of the attempted sexual assault on a student from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.

The incident took place on the evening of July 1, 2023.

QCPD's Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III revealed that they have obtained crucial CCTV footage from both the barangay and the university, aiding them in their investigation. The footage is being carefully analyzed and enhanced using advanced technology to identify the individuals present on the street at the time of the incident.

"Verifying the CCTV footage has been a challenge due to the nighttime setting. However, we have been diligently examining the barangay and UP CCTV recordings and utilizing technology to enhance the images of the individuals who were on the street alongside our victim," stated PBGEN Nicolas Torre III.

While the QCPD has not disclosed specific details about the identified persons of interest, authorities believe that these individuals may have crucial information related to the case. They are currently working to establish contact with the individuals and urge them to come forward voluntarily to provide any relevant information that could assist in the investigation.

The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the UP-Diliman community and the wider public.
