CIDG Apprehends Alleged Gunman In Degamo Slay
Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental - In a major breakthrough, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) successfully apprehended an alleged gunman linked to the Teves family.

The CIDG, in collaboration with the Negros Oriental Provincial Field Unit (PFU) and CIDG-National Capital Region Field Unit (NCRFU), executed two warrants of arrest against the suspect identified as PSSg Noel Santa Ana Alabata Jr., also known as Alfonso Edena Tan. The warrants were issued by the Honorable Glenda J. Yee-Uymatiao, Presiding Judge of the 7th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 35, Dumaguete City.

PSSg Alabata Jr. is facing charges for attempted murder and attempted homicide, with recommended bails set at Php120,000.00 and Php36,000.00, respectively, as stated in the warrants signed by Honorable Dinah Bagares Tabada-Chu, Presiding Judge of the 7th Judicial Region, MTCC Branch 1, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

CIDG Director PBGen Romeo M Caramat Jr. revealed that the arrested individual was formerly assigned to the PDEG R6 and allegedly served as a hitman for a certain individual named "Ong," who is believed to be a rival of the Teves family in their business dealings.

Following the arrest, the accused was promptly taken to the CIDG DSOU Office for proper documentation and custody. Authorities are now awaiting a Commitment Order from the issuing court to proceed with further legal processes.

CIDG Director PBGen Romeo M Caramat Jr. emphasized their commitment to thoroughly investigate the accused and determine if he is involved in any other criminal activities. "We are diligently verifying the allegations against the accused as the alleged hitman of the Teves family. We will ensure that we gather all necessary information and hold him accountable under our laws," stated the CIDG's top official.
