Cignal Acquires Defensive Specialist Angela Nunag In Roster For New Season Of PVL

In a strategic move to strengthen their roster, Cignal HD Spikers have announced the addition of defensive specialist Angela Nunag, an Army personnel, to their lineup for the upcoming 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference. The highly-anticipated tournament is set to kick off on June 27.
The 31-year-old Nunag, known for her exceptional defensive skills, will join forces with fellow Lady Trooper Jovelyn Gonzaga in the HD Spikers' quest for volleyball glory. Cignal's decision to acquire Nunag reflects their commitment to building a formidable team capable of competing at the highest level.
Nunag is not the only Army player making appearances for different clubs in the PVL. Royse Tubino will be representing PLDT, while Ivy Perez, Anne Esguerra, Andrea Marzan, and Fhen Emnas will join Gerflor. Additionally, Nene Bautista has been enlisted by Foton, showcasing the depth and talent within the Army ranks.
Although Nunag will serve as a backup to former Best Libero Jheck Dionela, her presence on the court will undoubtedly provide Cignal with an added layer of defensive prowess and versatility.
Cignal HD Spikers have been placed in Group A for the PVL Invitational Conference, where they will face formidable opponents such as Akari, Chery Tiggo, Creamline, Gerflor, and PLDT. The group stage promises intense battles and thrilling encounters as teams vie for a spot in the playoffs.
