Multiple murder cases have been filed against Congressman Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves by both the families of the victims and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), according to Atty. Levito Baligod.

The cases involve the killing of four individuals in 2019, including former board member Miguel Dungog. The witnesses to the killings were members of the assassination team who executed affidavits attesting to Teves' involvement in the crimes.

Baligod further explained that there may be more victims, as his records show that there were 12 murders committed between 2018-2019 by one group of hired assassins. The witnesses alleged that Teves ordered them to assassinate the victims, allegedly because they were political rivals.

When asked about Teves' motive, Baligod explained that the witnesses claimed that Dungog was popular in the area and was identified as a potential rival to Teves in a political survey. The witnesses also claimed that they were paid by Teves, with one witness receiving P50,000 for operating expenses.

When asked about the timing of the case, Baligod stated that they had been in contact with the witnesses for about three weeks prior to the filing of the case, and that it was unfortunate that it coincided with the case of Governor Degamo.

Teves is not the only respondent in the case, as there are reportedly five others involved. The witnesses are currently in the safekeeping of the authorities, but they have not yet been placed under the witness protection program.
