DBM Releases P11.6 Billion For FY 2021 Bonus For 920,073 DepEd Personnel

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has disbursed ₱11.6 billion for the Fiscal Year 2021 Bonus benefiting 920,073 personnel from various schools under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd).
DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman previously assured that DepEd personnel would receive their Bonus, stating, "The DBM stands with our nation's and recognizes their work. President BBM instructed us not to neglect them. That is why we are one with our in the pursuit of the release of their."
According to the latest DBM record as of September 1, 2023, all 16 regional offices of the Department have issued the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) and Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) to DepEd for the FY 2021 Bonus for personnel. The issuance of SAROs and NCAs followed the DBM's evaluation and validation of the updated documents submitted by DepEd from April to August 2023.
The granting of the FY 2021 Bonus was based on DepEd's accomplishments for FY 2021. The Final Evaluation Assessment for DepEd was released through Administrative Order No. 25 of the Inter-Agency Task Force in January of the current year.
DepEd submitted the required documents to DBM from April to August 2023. This process was made possible due to the large number of qualified DepEd personnel, exceeding 900,000, and the volume of documents that needed to be submitted. Despite this, DBM promptly acted on and processed DepEd's documents for the FY 2021 Bonus for personnel.
Meanwhile, DBM has returned the documentary requirements for the FY 2021 Bonus of personnel under the Schools Division Offices of eight regional offices (NCR, CAR, RO Nos. III, IV-A, VIII, XI, and XII) to DepEd for revalidation/revision. Some of the reasons include entries, information regarding months of service, personnel not listed in the DepEd Personnel Services Itemization and Plantilla of Personnel (PSIPOP), and others.
Once these documents are received, revalidated, and approved by DBM, they can be forwarded to the regional offices of DBM for SARO and NCA processing.
The DBM Central Office is also currently reviewing the submitted documents for the FY 2021 Bonus of personnel from the remaining eight regional offices of DepEd.
