Death Toll In Mindanao Quake Rises To 7

In the aftermath of yesterday's 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Southern Mindanao on November 17, 2023, the death toll has climbed to 7, with three casualties reported in General Santos City.
Numerous buildings in the city suffered extensive damage, particularly malls, hospitals, schools, and other establishments.
City engineers and the office of the city building official are actively assessing the aftermath, noting structural damages in three city malls, primarily affecting ceilings, walls, and other sections.
Mayor Lorelei Pacquiao issued a statement, "We have advised residents to shoulder funeral bills, and we will provide financial assistance. We are heading there later to extend our support."
Sarangani also experienced damages, but the local government assured residents of their commitment to not forsake them, promising financial assistance for those affected by the incident.
