Department of Education Sets Opening Date For School Year 2023-2024

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Thursday (August 3, 2023) that it has officially scheduled the opening of classes for School Year 2023-2024 in all public schools to be on August 29, 2023.
As the country continues its recovery from the pandemic, private schools are also given flexibility in their opening dates, with options to begin classes starting "the first Monday of June but not later than the last day of August," in accordance with Republic Act 11480.
This decision aims to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for all students and educators.
