Department Of Tourism Launches Successful 'Love the Philippines' Campaign

In an effort to showcase the rich diversity and untold story of the Filipino people, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco launched the enhanced tourism campaign of the Department of Tourism (DOT) on June 27, 2023.

The campaign, titled "Love the Philippines: A Journey into the Heart of Diversity," aims to go beyond the surface-level attractions and reveal the profound cultural, historical, and natural treasures that the Philippines has to offer.

During the launch event held in Manila, Secretary Garcia-Frasco highlighted the Philippines' status as one of the 18 mega-biodiverse countries worldwide. With its vast array of ecosystems and endemic species, the country holds tremendous ecological significance. The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the need for environmental conservation and sustainable tourism practices to preserve this invaluable heritage for future generations.

Additionally, the Tourism Secretary emphasized the tapestry of indigenous peoples and creative communities that contribute to the rich fabric of Filipino culture. From their traditional crafts and arts to their invaluable knowledge of the land, these communities have played a crucial role in safeguarding the identity and integrity of the Filipino people.
