In a press conference held on Monday, December 11, actor Derek Ramsay candidly shared the heartbreaking news of his wife Ellen Adarna's recent miscarriage.

The revelation came during a discussion about Ramsay's hesitation to return to showbiz full-time, emphasizing the couple's current focus on building their family.

When asked about accepting new projects after the release of his latest movie, "Kampon," Ramsay expressed his and Adarna's primary goal of expanding their family. He stated, "Right now, we are really focused, Ellen and I, on having a baby. So if that happens, it's a bit unlikely for me to accept a project because I am very hands-on in taking care of her."

Opening up about their journey, Ramsay revealed that Adarna had recently experienced a miscarriage. Drawing a parallel between his real-life situation and his character in "Kampon," Ramsay expressed relief that he and Adarna were able to conceive relatively quickly.

"Nung nasa Spain kami, we found out that Ellen was pregnant, and then unfortunately, we lost the baby. It is sad that we lost the baby, but at least we know that we are not incapable of having children," Ramsay shared. He added optimistically, "Hopefully, next year."
