In a heartwarming revelation, Dolly de Leon, a former colleague and friend of renowned Filipino actress Eugene Domingo, shared how the latter helped her during her darkest days. During an interview with Tito Boy Abunda, de Leon recounted how Domingo paid for her son's tuition for three years.
De Leon, who is also a theater arts graduate from the University of the Philippines, said that she and Domingo have been friends since their teenage years. When de Leon faced financial difficulties, including not being able to pay for her electricity bills, her son's tuition fees, and other basic necessities, Domingo came to her aid.
"Uge is one of them. She paid for my son's tuition for three years. Three years niyang binayaran yung tuition ng anak ko. She never left. Even if she reached that superstardom level already. She was always a friend," de Leon said.
Despite Domingo's success in the entertainment industry, de Leon said that the actress never forgot her friends and the people who helped her along the way. Domingo's generosity and kindness extended beyond financial aid. She even gave de Leon fashion tips, advising her to bring a pair of flats that she could switch to if her heels became too uncomfortable.
De Leon expressed her gratitude towards Domingo, saying, "I love you, Uge. I have so much respect for the woman and the lady."
Domingo has yet to comment on the matter, but her actions have undoubtedly shown her dedication to being a true friend to those in need. Her gesture of kindness towards de Leon and her son is a testament to the values of generosity and friendship.
