Dolly De Leon Shines In The International Scene

Dolly De Leon is a breakthrough international star.
From starting out with theater and supporting roles in the local showbusiness scene, De Leon continues to bring pride for the Philippines with a string of accolades with her immense talent, thanks to her pivotal role as Abigail in award-winning international film “Triangle Of Sadness”.
The talented actress received an eight-minute standing ovation from the audience and bagged the Palme d’Or award in the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Palme d’Or award is the highest prize awarded at the said film festival.
De Leon then became an overnight success, bearing the torch of the Philippine entertainment scene in Hollywood, attending different film festivals and press events for “Triangle Of Sadness” showing how talented Filipino actors are.
Middleburg Film Festival also noticed her talent and awarded her the “Breakthrough Performance Award” for her role as well.
She made history by being nominated at the 80th Golden Globe Awards for best supporting actress and is included in the list of British Vogue’s 2023 Hollywood Portfolio, the publication’s list of the world’s famous stars.
Though she fell short with winning the award at the Golden Globes, De Leon made it to the list of the British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA) for the Best Supporting Actress Category.
Dolly De Leon will continue to resemble strength of Filipinas abroad as she showcases her talent to a global audience.
