Starting from December 7 to 31, 2023, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) temporarily suspends the issuance of guarantee letters (GL) under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program in all DSWD offices nationwide.

This measure is essential to facilitate the annual liquidation required for the fiscal obligation, following the directives of the Department of Budget and Management and relevant laws.

The suspension also allows sufficient time for the preparation of necessary documents to settle payments to service providers for assistance provided to clients who have approached our offices through GL.

To ensure continuity of aid, DSWD will continue providing outright cash assistance to qualified beneficiaries.

Resumption of GL issuance will be on January 2024.
