In a recent update to his Twitter account, tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has announced the implementation of temporary limits to address the growing concerns regarding data scraping and system manipulation on the social media platform. The new restrictions are aimed at curbing excessive activity and maintaining the integrity of user-generated content.

According to Musk's tweet, the following limitations will be imposed:

1. Verified accounts will be limited to reading a maximum of 6,000 posts per day. This restriction applies to accounts that have undergone the verification process to establish their authenticity.

2. Unverified accounts will have a reduced allowance, with the limit set at 600 posts per day. These accounts have not gone through the verification process and, therefore, have lower access privileges.

3. New unverified accounts will face even stricter limitations, being restricted to reading a maximum of 300 posts per day. This measure is likely aimed at curbing the activities of newly created accounts that may be involved in spamming or other malicious activities.

Musk's decision to introduce these temporary limits highlights his commitment to combating data scraping, which involves the unauthorized extraction of data from websites or social media platforms, and system manipulation, which refers to the deliberate distortion or disruption of online systems.

Data scraping and system manipulation can have severe consequences, including the spread of misinformation, manipulation of public opinion, and compromised user privacy. By implementing these restrictions, Musk aims to safeguard the Twitter community from these potential threats.

It is worth noting that these limitations are temporary and aimed at mitigating the immediate risks associated with data scraping and system manipulation.
