Filipina Sacrifices Life To Protect Elderly Patient During Hamas Attacks

Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, revealed a tragic and inspiring story of bravery amidst chaos in the ongoing conflict in Israel.
In her post on X, Hassan-Nahoum showed a picture of Angeline (later identified as Angelyn Aguirre), a dedicated nurse from the Philippines.
The Deputy Mayor said that Angeline “exhibited courage and loyalty” by choosing to stay with her elderly patient, Nira, during the Hamas terror attacks in Kibbutz Kfar Gaza.
Hassan-Nahoum said that despite having a chance to flee the violence, Angeline's humanity shone through as she stood by Nira's side. Tragically, both women lost their lives in the senseless act of violence perpetrated by Hamas.
Authorities said at least 2 Filipinos were among thousands killed in the war triggered by a surprise Saturday attack by Hamas, which took around 150 Israelis and foreigners hostage.
