Quezon City Senior Assistant Prosecutor Ulric Badiola issued a subpoena against former President Rodrigo Duterte in connection with the case filed against the former President by House Deputy Minority Leader and ACT Teachers Partylist Representative France Castro.

Expressing her satisfaction with the case's advancement, Castro is urging the former president to appear and participate in the preliminary investigation.

She stated, "I received the subpoena today regarding the case I filed against former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, specifically for grave threats. According to the subpoena, there will be a preliminary investigation on December 4 and 11, 2023."

"I am very thankful to the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office because, after three days of filing our complaint, they promptly took action. Hopefully, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will attend the preliminary investigation," added Rep. France Castro.
