Former Senator Manny Pacquiao has confirmed his encounter with murder suspect Negros Oriental Representative, Arnolfo "Arnie" Teves, in Timor-Leste.
This was reported by GMA News and was seen on Social media pages of the East Timor Sports Confederation.
Teves has been designated as a terrorist by the Philippine Anti Terror Council following the brazen killing of former Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo and 9 others.
Pacquiao's visit to Timor-Leste, originally for an official engagement, led to this meeting with Teves.
The legendary boxer engaged in official discussions with key figures in Timor-Leste, including Chief Cabinet MJDAC and the President of the Sport Confederation of Timor-Leste, Kay Olo Gusmão.
The President of the Sport Confederation of Timor-East, Macario Floriano Sanches, also accompanied Pacquiao during various meetings with Timor-Leste's leadership, including President José Ramos Horta and Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão.
This encounter has stirred controversy and put the spotlight on Teves' actions and the implications for the ongoing investigation.
