Scottie Thompson, the guard of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Gilas Pilipinas, was awarded the prestigious Dr/BGen Antonio Laperal Tamayo Leadership Plaque for Sports and Athletics during the 44th Commencement Exercises of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) Las Piñas City campus. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Thompson, known for his exceptional skills on the basketball court, demonstrated equal excellence in academics as he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management. His remarkable achievements both in sports and academics have truly set an inspiring example for aspiring athletes and students alike.
