GMA Network introduced the nation's first-ever Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated sportscasters. This was a collaborative effort between GMA Integrated News (GMAIN), GMA New Media Inc. (NMI), and GMA Synergy.

They are set to be unveiled on Sunday, September 24, 2023 just in time for the commencement of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99.

Maia and Marco are poised to become the faces of sports coverage in the Philippines. Powered by advanced technology, they will deliver the latest news, highlights, and updates on NCAA Season 99, along with comprehensive coverage of local and international sports events featuring Filipino athletes.

The AI sportscasters were named Maia and Marco. They were created using Image Generation, Text-to-Speech AI Voice Synthesis/Generation, and Deep Learning Face Animation Technology.

Maia and Marco will be featured prominently on the social media platforms of GMAIN, GMA Sports, and GMA Synergy.
