The Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo City, Philippines, is one of the biggest and world-class festivals in the country. It traces the history of devotion to the Holy Child Jesus popularly known to Filipino devotees as Saint Sto. Niño. The festival also commemorates the arrival of the Malay settlers and the legendary barter between Panay Island natives called Ati.
A cultural contest of the Dinagyang Festival, Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan gives Ilonggo folk artists the chance to show off their talents in various art forms. It showcases the exquisite beauty and ingenuity of these colorful cultural productions.
