Helicopter Crash In Bukidnon Leaves Five Passengers Injured

In Lantapan, Bukidnon, on 27th July 2023, a helicopter crash occurred involving an R44 Raven II with body serial number RPC189, resulting in injuries to several passengers and the pilot, Mr. Jared Howeing, a foreign national.
According to the report by the Bureau of Fire Protection in Region 10, the ill-fated helicopter was carrying passengers Alan Martinez, Daria Kiyan (both foreign nationals), Gary Soria, and Carmelo Paras. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
As a result of the accident, one of the passengers was left moaning in pain and suffered injuries to his right shoulder and left leg, rendering him unable to stand. In a display of prompt response,
the Lantapan Fire Station in Bukidnon collaborated with local MDRRMO responders to provide essential medical aid. The injured passenger was stabilized using splinting techniques and promptly transported to the nearest hospital in the standby Lantapan MDRRMO ambulance for immediate medical attention.
