Israeli Ambassador Ilan Fluss welcomed back Filipino caregiver Jimmy Pacheco today as he returned to Manila. Pacheco, who had endured a 49-day hostage ordeal at the hands of Hamas terrorists since October 7, was greeted by his family, as well as representatives from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

Tragically, Pacheco's 80-year-old employer lost his life during the captivity, a victim of the terror group.
