The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a 24-hour public weather forecast for various regions in the Philippines. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to affect Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, while localized thunderstorms will impact Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Residents in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao should expect cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. These weather conditions are caused by the presence of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The ITCZ can bring light to moderate, and at times heavy, rains, which may result in possible flash floods or landslides. It is advisable to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.

For Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are anticipated, accompanied by isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. These localized thunderstorms may lead to flash floods or landslides during severe occurrences. Residents are advised to stay updated with weather bulletins and be prepared for sudden weather changes.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The wind speed over Luzon is expected to be light to moderate, blowing from the east to southeast. Coastal waters are predicted to be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters. Mariners and fishermen are advised to exercise caution and follow safety protocols while venturing out to sea.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to northwest. Coastal waters in these areas are also expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters. Those planning maritime activities should remain cautious and adhere to safety guidelines.

PAGASA encourages the public to stay informed through official announcements and weather bulletins. It is essential to take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to flooding or landslides, and to be prepared for possible changes in weather conditions.
