Gibbs vehemently denounced the mishandling of the investigation, citing apparent lapses and breaches of confidentiality by the Investigation Team. He demanded a public apology from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the officers directly accountable for the trauma caused to his family.

While Gibbs decided not to pursue further legal actions against the responsible police officers, he acknowledged an ongoing investigation against them.
