Japan PM On Official Visit To PH

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is set to visit the Philippines on November 3-4, 2023.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will officially welcome Prime Minister Kishida at the Malacañan Palace on November 3.

The two leaders are scheduled to engage in a bilateral meeting, delving into key areas of mutual concern. Discussions will encompass political, security, economic, and development cooperation, emphasizing the strengthening of ties between the two nations.

People-to-people connections will also be on the agenda, highlighting the significance of cultural exchange and collaboration between the citizens of Japan and the Philippines.

Apart from bilateral matters, the leaders are anticipated to exchange viewpoints on pressing regional and international issues.

The meeting is expected to reaffirm the outstanding relations between the Philippines and Japan, a relationship that was elevated to a Strategic Partnership in 2011.

This visit follows President Marcos Jr.'s official trip to Japan in February of 2023.
