The volleyball community's speculation has come to an end as it is officially confirmed that UAAP champion and former DLSU star libero, Justine Jazareno, is set to embark on a new chapter in her career with the Akari Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

This announcement has sent shockwaves through the volleyball world, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the upcoming PVL season in October.

Jazareno, a household name in Philippine volleyball, had a remarkable stint with the DLSU Lady Spikers, culminating in their triumphant UAAP Season 85 championship win.

However, despite the longing of the Lasallian faithful for her return in Season 86, Jazareno's decision to join Akari is driven by a deeper purpose, as she explained, "I took time to think about it and weighed my priorities to help me come up with this decision."

She admits that It's a decision that wasn't made lightly, given her deep connection to the Lasallian community.

She acknowledges the impact her Lasallian upbringing has had on her, stating, "This is something that will never leave me, which includes discipline, respect, perseverance, and a champion's heart."

The Akari Chargers, who have been aggressively building their roster, have successfully secured talents like Faith Nisperos and Fifi Sharma ahead of Jazareno's signing.

Jazareno's addition to the team is expected to provide a vital boost to their pursuit of PVL glory.

Expressing her excitement about the new chapter in her career, Jazareno remarked, "I am super excited to be part of the Akari Chargers, and I am looking forward to more bonding and learning from the team."

Reflecting on her time at DLSU and the coaching of Ramil De Jesus, Jazareno shared, "I look forward to learning from more father and mother figures or anyone among our coaches and management because that's how it is in sports—you treat your team as family, and you learn from them. That's what I cherish most about being an athlete—the transformation of character for the better."

As the PVL teams gear up for the upcoming season's last conference, fans eagerly await the debut of Jazareno in her new jersey.

Despite bidding adieu to her DLSU roots, Jazareno sees it as a "see you later" and holds a special place in her heart for the Lasallian community, saying, "Once a Lady Spiker, always a Lady Spiker!"

Jazareno also expressed her gratitude to her Virtual Playground family for their support and guidance as she transitions to the professional ranks.
