Kai Sotto Makes NBA Summer League Debut With The Orlando Magic

Filipino basketball player Kai Sotto finally had the opportunity to showcase his skills on the hard court for the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League.

The young center made his long-awaited debut during the Magic's game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night (Friday morning, Manila time) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Despite his impressive performance, the Magic fell to an 88-71 defeat against their opponents, concluding their Summer League campaign with a winless record of 0-4.

The 7-foot-3 player demonstrated his potential and versatility during his 13 minutes of action.

He contributed six points, shooting 3-of-7 from the field. His impact was not limited to scoring, as he also grabbed four rebounds, blocked three shots, and provided an assist.

The 19-year-old Filipino prospect faced some challenges early on in the Summer League, spending the first three games on the bench. However, his patience and determination paid off as he finally received his chance to step onto the court against Portland.
