Kathryn Bernardo added another feather to her cap as she was honored as the "Outstanding Asian Star" at the prestigious Seoul International Drama Awards.

The recognition comes in the wake of her outstanding performance in the hit series "2 Good 2 Be True."

In her acceptance speech, Bernardo expressed her gratitude for the recognition, saying, "When I initially found out about this nomination and recognition for my craft by such an esteemed award-giving body, that in itself is already a win for me. By being here tonight, a person to receive this award, along with my fellow awardees from Asia, I feel overwhelmed and it still feels surreal."

The actress thanked key individuals and teams behind "2 Good 2 Be True," including directors Direk Mae Cruz-Alviar and Direk Paco Sta. Maria, the talented group of writers, co-actors Daniel Padilla and Ronaldo Valdez, and the entire production crew.

Bernardo dedicated the award to her loyal fan base, saying, "And to my fans from the Philippines, this is for you, you guys are a gem and we appreciate each and every one of you."

Beyond her performance, Bernardo highlighted the importance of the series in raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease and the challenges faced by those affected by it.

She remarked, "It's always been more than just sharing about a love story to our audience, but also spreading awareness about Alzheimer's disease and educating people about those who struggle with it, and how we can offer them the best support they need."

Acknowledging the efforts of healthcare workers, she added, "This project made me appreciate our nurses and our healthcare workers so it was really more than just another TV show for me."

"2 Good To Be True" is a collaboration between ABS-CBN and Netflix, and Bernardo expressed her hope for more world-class projects in the future, saying, "I hope we continue to produce world-class projects, not just for Filipinos but for the whole world to see."
In closing, she expressed her pride in representing Filipino talent on the international stage, saying, "I am so proud and humbled to be on this stage representing Filipino talent and being a Filipino. This means so much to me. Thank you so much and from the bottom of my heart, maraming-maraming salamat po."

Bernardo’s fans can look forward to a promising year ahead, with three movies in the works: "A Very Good Girl" with Dolly de Leon, directed by Petersen Vargas which will be shown in Cinemas this September 27, 2023; "Elena 1944" helmed by Olivia Lamasan; and a yet-untitled film alongside her long-time boyfriend, Daniel Padilla, under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina.
