Kuwait's Appeals Court Upholds Prison Sentence For Suspect In Ranara Case
PCO File
The State of Kuwait's Appeal Court has upheld the 16-year imprisonment sentence for the accused in the murder case of Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Jullebee Ranara.

The verdict includes one year for driving without a license and a significant 15 years for the charge of murder.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) welcomes this decision, emphasizing justice for the victim and accountability for the perpetrator.

The Officer-in-Charge has personally conveyed the court's ruling to the Ranara family, reassuring them of continued support as mandated by the President. Additionally, the DMW has directed its Migrant Workers Office in Kuwait (MWO-Kuwait) to collaborate with legal counsel in initiating a civil action for damages against the father of the convicted individual.
