Lakas-CMD Welcomes 19 New Party Members

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Tuesday presided over the oath-taking ceremony for 19 individuals who joined the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD).

The ceremony took place at the House of Representatives and was attended by party officials led by former President-turned Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Chairperson Emeritus; Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” M. Dalipe, Executive Vice President; Agusan del Norte Rep.
Jose “Joboy” Aquino II, Secretary General; and others.

Expressing his delight at the new additions to the party, Romualdez emphasized the importance of their affiliation with Lakas-CMD. He highlighted the party's commitment to supporting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his Agenda for Prosperity, as well as the eight-point socio-economic development roadmap.

Romualdez expressed hope for a fruitful engagement with both the newly joined members and the existing party members.

The oath-taking event saw the physical presence of fourteen out of the nineteen new members, while the remaining four submitted their oaths of membership electronically.

Those who attended the oath-taking event were Roberto “Pinpin” Uy Jr., former Zamboanga del Norte Gov. Roberto Uy Sr., and incumbent Mayors Lorrymir “Rey” Adasa (Mutia), Marissa Manigsaca (Rizal), Rosendo
Labadlabad (Sindangan), Allan Ferrater (Jose Dalman), Jose MichealMeiko Wong (Katipunan), Eugene Caballero (Manukan), Ismael RenquijoJr. (President Manuel Roxas), Alberto Bongcawel (Siayan), Salvador “Jun” Antojado Jr. (Kalawit), Jelster Ed Tiu Quimbo (Labason), and Norabeth Tuse Carloto (Tampilisan), and Julita, Leyte Councilor Jude Andrei Romualdez.

Evelyn Uy, and incumbent Mayors Eufracio Caidic (Sibutad), Darel Dexter Uy (Dipolog
City), Eddie Justin Quimbo (Gutalac), Roberto “Jun” Uy Jr. (Liloy) submitted their oaths of membership to Lakas-CMD.
