At 3:00 PM on June 26 a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was detected approximately 325 km East of Virac, Catanduanes, at coordinates 13.5°N and 127.2°E. The LPA is currently embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), which is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao regions of the Philippines.

According to weather experts, this weather system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to the areas of Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon. Residents in these regions should anticipate moderate to heavy rains, which may result in possible flash floods or landslides.

In the affected areas of Metro Manila and the rest of the country, weather conditions are predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. These localized thunderstorms, combined with the influence of the ITCZ, could lead to flash floods or landslides during severe weather events.

Authorities are advising residents and local disaster management offices to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their communities. It is recommended to closely monitor weather updates from reliable sources and heed any advisories or warnings issued by the local authorities.
